One man's perspective of the daily grind on board the Connex Melbourne metropolitan train system.

Summary 12-16 June
This will be the last stats post for a while too. We're still down below 60% but the downward trend seems to have stopped. On the plus side, the number of cancellations is much better than it was a few months ago, but they are still plagued with delays that are rarely communicated to long-suffering commuters.
the met 8:12 is obviously fake, i don't agree with him.
anonymous @ 12:54 - although it wasn't technically me who said it, if you have the brains to uunderstand it was wrong, you should also have the brains to ignore it.
anonymous @ 01:17 - well i didn't know that apperantly that the Citreon C5 can turn into a robot and jump around and dance.
ALSO that apparently you can place something on the roof, drive around, and still have the object there IN the Ford Focus... now really... Common sense is something you lack.
anonymous 07:33 - bit harsh wouldn't you reckon?
I find it humerous that we only see many anti-Connex Whinger-ists when he finnaly leaves, Why not before he left?
An extract from my first post best sums up what this is all about.
"Perception is reality" was one of the many glib phrases my ex-boss used to regularly use. Well my reality is that I have never had a full week of the train that I want to catch running on time. Let me rephrase that somewhat inelegant sentence - I don't believe that of the ten scheduled trains that I would wish to catch in any given week, all ten have ever run as scheduled. Ever. In over four years of commuting on the Sandringham line, my perception is that at least one train per week is either delayed or cancelled.
That's probably a pretty bold call, so to turn my perception into reality, I plan to keep a diary for a while and we'll see how often Connex can deliver me a full week of reliable services. Yes, I know that's a little self-centred, but isn't that the whole point of blogging?

Not that I catch the train any more, but I've received 6 SMSes regarding cancellations on the Frankston line today.
Quality.
Whats a looser?
A loser who can't spell. Nothing like trying to take a shot at something and coming across as a complete wanker, eh "the met"?
Connex excuses for cancelled trains now inculde UFOs, and Giant Hamsters...according to the latest Connex SMS Updates ads anyway!!!
Good riddance, you pest.
Just do the rest of Melbourne and favour, and don't come back, if you wouldn't mind. Kthxbi
lol - interesting how i bother to continue.

Chris, I haven't left, I'm just spending most of my time in Perth at present so there's little point trying to collect meaningful stats.
As for the people having a dig at me, how do we know how many there are? How do we know it's not simply you posting? Anonymous posts tell you nothing.
