Summary 23-27 January

I see we've had the latest Connex newsletter - in that Bruce Hughes tells us that he has the "aim of operating a first class train network for Melbourne". Sure Bruce, got any harbour bridges you want to sell us?

This week we've gone backwards, reds are up to 17%, oranges drop to 23% and greens 60%. After looking half reasonable in September we seem to have gone back to the worst days of delays, cancellations and lack of information. Yet Bruce still manages to hang on, somehow.

Well I'm one of the lucky ones who will no longer be required to travel on a snotty Connex excuse of a train, I'm lucky that I am returning to Perth ,Ah cant wait to get back to the spotless and meticulously maintained A and B series Bombardiers of Transperth no Hitachi's in WA.

Mssr's Steve and Brucie heres a tip to make a train network run you need to put MONEY into the network to keep it up to standard. Follow the steps of the WA government and spend a few hundred million on new infrastructure this includes railcars, stations and 112 kilometres of new rail!!!.

Sat at Flinders St Station awaiting departure, whats that we cant go thru the loop coz a trains died between Flinders and Spencer ( no surprises there was over 38 degrees) geez makes you wonder if these trains even get maintained once a year perth trains cop it harder and rarely die.

Sat at Flinders for 15 mins until obviously some moron in Train Control decided that the train should skip the loop and go straight to Richmond ( GEEZ ONLY 15 MINS hey boy's to make a decision)

I do believe I suggested that the very pissed off looking driver after about 2 mins after we were informed of the delay.

I noe governments hate good idea's but geez lad's give us credit,

May have to stay on the AEC roll for Victoria when i get back to WA to ensure Bracks get's the boot and gets the message. Will watch with interest from WA to see how well the train network fails during the games.
